Teresa Thomas
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Texas with over 10 years of clinical experience. My career has focused on helping adults, couples, and families explore their thoughts and emotions around life challenges, develop healthy communication skills, and build habits that support lasting change. I commonly work with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, self-esteem, and emotional intelligence. I’m passionate about helping individuals understand the root of their challenges, enhance their relationships, and feel more confident and fulfilled in their daily lives.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused. I believe in building a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions openly. Through supportive conversations, we’ll navigate life’s challenges together, helping you gain clarity, confidence, and resilience. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and equipped with tools to manage challenges. Together, we’ll work toward personal growth, emotional well-being, and a greater sense of fulfillment in your daily life.
What should be expected in the first session?
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. We’ll also talk about how therapy works, what to expect moving forward, and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. My priority is to ensure you feel heard, respected, and at ease as we begin this process together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
