Terri Wilkens
Intro
I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in Wisconsin with over 30 years of professional experience. I have experience helping clients with stress, depression and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, coping with grief and loss, and unforeseeable changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I am supportive, and I encourage client-led processes. I believe in building a trusting relationship where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. Through supportive conversations, I help clients navigate life transitions and gain clarity, confidence, and resilience. My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
What should be expected in the first session?
During the first session, therapy and the process will be explained. I will conduct an initial assessment by asking a variety of questions that will help us establish treatment goals. The first session is also a time to build rapport, so clients can begin to feel safe and heard.
