How would you describe your approach to care?

To help those who come to counseling not knowing what to expect from the therapeutic process, I hope to help you become more open and engaged so that you can benefit from the services that are provided. It is my hope to provide an environment that demonstrates professionalism and respect. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, focusing on helping clients build clarity, confidence, and a sense of direction. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

What should be expected in the first session?

To meet a therapist who is person-centered, welcoming, and engaged. I will create a space that helps build rapport and allows you to feel safe. During the first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any relevant background information to better understand your needs. I will also explain my approach to therapy and work with you to begin identifying goals for our journey together. Clients are encouraged to come as they are, and may find it helpful to think about what they hope to gain from therapy, or any questions they may have before the session.
