Intro
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NC, NM, and CT. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in SC, and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in MA, with over 15 years of experience as a psychotherapist and over 30 years in direct client-centered care. I have extensive experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and respect. My work is grounded in meeting people exactly where they are — emotionally, mentally, and situationally — and creating a space where they can show up as their full, honest selves. I bring an authentic, down-to-earth presence to the therapeutic relationship, helping clients feel seen, understood, and supported without judgment. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship patterns, self-esteem, and navigating life transitions. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to helping people reconnect with their strengths, build confidence, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.
How would you describe your approach to care?
My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply person-centered. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I meet clients with empathy and honesty, helping them make sense of what they’re carrying while also empowering them to take meaningful steps forward. Together, we’ll work to understand patterns, build emotional resilience, and create practical strategies that support your well-being. My goal is to walk alongside you—not ahead of you—as you move toward greater clarity, confidence, and peace in your daily life.
What should be expected in the first session?
Your first session with me is all about getting to know you—not a checklist, not a script, and definitely not pressure to share more than you’re ready for. I meet people exactly where they are, whether they’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure, hopeful, guarded, or simply curious about therapy. We’ll ease into a relaxed conversation about what brought you in and what you’re hoping to gain. My role is to listen with empathy, ask thoughtful questions, and help you feel grounded and understood.
