Timothy Bozung
Intro
Hello! I am Tim Bozung, Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), and I specialize in supporting older adults as they navigate life's later chapters. In my practice, I combine evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a practical, collaborative approach to help you manage clinical issues like depression, anxiety, and grief. My work is deeply grounded in real-world experience, informed by 31 years of marriage and the rewarding challenge of raising 10 children. Together, we will focus on your specific therapeutic goals, helping you develop effective strategies to process loss, reduce stress, and improve your daily well-being.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I use a collaborative and goal-oriented approach specifically tailored to the unique clinical needs of older adults. My practice seamlessly integrates evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop practical, actionable strategies for managing depression, anxiety, and complex grief. This structured therapeutic guidance is deeply enriched by my real-world perspective as a husband of 31 years and a father of 10 children. Together, I walk alongside you to honor your life history while building effective tools to reduce stress, process loss, and improve your overall daily well-being.
What should be expected in the first session?
During your initial consultation, I will provide a warm, structured, and confidential environment focused on understanding your current needs and unique life history. Together, we will complete a comprehensive intake that prioritizes your safety by screening for immediate safety concerns, addictions, and the management of chronic medical conditions. I will also gently explore your current support systems to screen for clinical vulnerabilities unique to older adults, including potential financial exploitation or elder abuse. This initial session is a collaborative process designed to establish trust, answer your questions, and map out a personalized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatment plan.
