Yolanda Dandridge
Intro
Hello, I'm Yolanda Dandridge, a licensed psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and somatic therapist with over 12 years of experience supporting adults through life's challenges and transitions. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people as they navigate change, loss, stress, and the emotional ups and downs that come with different seasons of life. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported. Together, we'll work towards helping you reconnect with your strengths and move forward in ways that feel meaningful to you.
How would you describe your approach to care?
I believe healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the connection between the mind and body, recognizing that our experiences shape how we think, feel, and respond to life. I tailor therapy to each person's unique needs, drawing on their strengths while offering practice tools to support emotional well-being and resilience. Together, we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable while working towards the goals that matter most to you.
What should be expected in the first session?
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you'd like to address. I'll ask questions about your emotional well-being, daily routines, relationships, health, and the ways your body responds to stress, so I can better understand your overall experience. Together, we'll begin a gentle, body-based assessment by noticing things like your breathing, energy, posture, and physical sensations, helping us understand how your mind and body work together. We'll also talk about emotional regulation — how your nervous system responds to life's challenges — and begin identifying strategies to help you feel more grounded, supported, and resilient.
